Job Description

Stores OperativeTemp to PermWe are recruiting for our client, based in Saltash - a recognised world leader in the manufacture of their security products operating in over 30 countries worldwide, and they are looking for an experienced Stores & Despatch person for a temporary role. This is a full time role, working Monday to Thursday 08001700 and half day Fridays. There is a competitive rate of pay for the position.Free parking is available if you have your own vehicle, however, there is good public transport which services the area.Responsibilitieswill include but are not limited to :

  • Ensure that the forklift is in good working order and that the daily checks are completed.
  • To meet the physical demands of the position, which includes standing for long periods
  • Be responsible for the safe transportation of goods
  • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved to your Team Leader
  • Ensure department quality and Health & Safety procedures and policies are adhered to (including ISO9001/14001)
  • Ensure that you have the necessary skills and training to effectively participate in the Dispatch and Stores departments during workload peaks, holiday and sickness.
  • Keep Team Leader informed of task accomplishments, issues and status
  • Ensure records / systems are maintained for goods coming into and leaving Spinnaker.
  • Determine the most economic method of transport to use
  • Maintain good working relationships with other departments
  • Assist with packing and dispatch as necessary.
  • Assist with deliveries and booking in of parts and materials.
  • Distribution of all goods in to relevant departments
  • To assist in the training of new personnel
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Manage and maintain the company pool vehicle and authorise its use
  • Recommend actions that are necessary to ensure that future workloads are adequately resourced
  • Stocktaking, cycle counting and other duties associated with a stores role.
  • Pick parts for orders to be assembled.
  • Embrace continues improvements
