Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Driver SEN Teaching Assistant. This role combines the responsibilities of a driver and a teaching assistant, providing essential support to children with special educationalneeds (SEN) in and out of the classroom. We believe children benefit from in and outdoor learning and if you wish to make a difference in a young persons life then this is the role for you.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to address the individual needs and requirements of each child.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for children with SEN, promoting their independence and self-confidence.
  • Assist teachers in implementing educational activities and strategies tailored to the needs of children with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, incidents, and any relevant information.
Requirements:
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Motor insurance, including business use.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commitment to promoting the well-being and development of children with SEN
