Job Description

Package ManagerRecruitment Agency Reference: 698433012 Months+ Devonport***Candidates must satisfy security criteria***A high profile Defence organisation are recruiting for a Package Manager (Electrical Systems) to be responsible for key project management functions in support of the overall project delivery, including schedule, financial and risk functions.The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Facilitate, develop and agree requirements , project scope and solutions for specific outputs and work packages
  • Manage the planning, monitor and control of work packages being delivered by other internal and external resources
  • Forecasting of costs and monitor and report against budget
  • Stakeholder management and communications and to support development of stakeholder
  • Develops tasking orders to secure the provision of internal and external resources and manages their delivery.
  • Develop, monitor and control schedules for packages of work and small projects.Apply the Business Management System (BMS) appropriately for the project and produce and communicate project reporting data on Enterprise resource.
  • Undertake aspects of stakeholder management and communications activities are required and support development of stakeholder management
  • Contribute to the risk process including the identification, assessment, planning and implementation of risk, opportunities and issues
  • Examples of systems being delivered within the electrical services packages include:
  • 60Hz and 50Hz Supplies
  • 6600V / 450V 60 Hz AC Transformers
  • 6600V / 250V DC Transformer Rectifier
  • 50Hz Production electrical supply
    • The successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a managerial capacity Proven experience with managing teams and large scale infrastructure projects; with a focus on electrical systems A degree (or working towards) in engineering / project / construction management or a related field Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this may include obtaining security clearance (SC) or developed vetting (DV) level of security clearances)
