Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate History Teacher to join our team. As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that inspire students to develop a love of history and an understandingof its relevance to the modern world.Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students, using a range of teaching strategies and resources.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and fosters a love of history.
  • Set clear learning objectives and expectations, and provide regular feedback to students on their progress.
  • Monitor and track student progress, using a range of assessment methods, and use this information to inform your teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources, strategies, and good practice.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and events, such as history trips and school history clubs.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related subject.
  • Experience of teaching History to students of different ages and abilities.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students in the subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • A passion for history and the ability to communicate this to students.
