Job Description

We sell high quality componentsand equipment to customers in the concrete industry across the UK. We also provide servicing and share our unrivalledexpertise in concrete production processes, applying our Make it better approach to help our customers achieve improvedproductivity, safety and product quality. 2021 was a record-breaking year for us, but we wont be resting on our laurels;were ambitious, continuing to grow and were moving to superb, custom-built premises on a prestigious developmentjust up the road in a few months time.This is a busy role dealing with incoming deliveries of heavy stock items, booking parts and equipment into stock, movinggoods around the warehouse, as well as picking, packing and dispatching orders.Take a look at the key skills and qualities were looking for and if were describing you, wed love to hear from you!Main responsibilities

  • Receiving deliveries, unloading goods from vehicles by hand or reach truck.
  • Unpacking, checking and counting goods.
  • Putting goods away and booking them into the company database system, Datafile.
  • Picking and packing goods.
  • Meeting and greeting customers.
  • Logging information onto carriers systems and fitting barcodes as required.
  • Obtaining the required information for Customs Declaration documentation.
  • Managing the returns process.
  • Supporting the Marketing and Sales teams with setting up/taking down exhibition stands.
  • Liaising with parcel and pallet companies.
  • Participating in the annual stock take.
  • Ensuring that warehouse cleanliness standards and H&S requirements are met.
Key skills/qualities
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Warehouse Operative.
  • Loyal and hardworking, with a positive outlook.
  • Physically fit - bending, stretching, lifting, climbing steps and heavy lifting required.
  • Able to work accurately, even under pressure; pays excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills; able to effectively manage time and workload.
  • Strong verbal communicator with good interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic team member, able to work on own initiative.
  • Professional, confident and courteous.
  • Reliable and honest. Good timekeeper.
  • Current forklift (reach) truck licence - preferred.
