Job Description

Our client is seeking to appoint a driven individual to offer technical advice in order to support customer service. The role will be pivotal in enhancing the teams future growth and success!

  • £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
  • Full time, permanent
  • NG16 - driving license essential
Responsibilities:
  • Technical review of projects to ensure correct specification and compliance with relevant standards
  • Producing project airflow / system performance calculations as necessary
  • Preparation of project specific approval drawings where necessary
  • Preparation of manufacturing details for bespoke projects
  • Responding to technical queries from both external clients and for manufacturing
  • Ongoing review and update of technical information, load tables, standard drawings, installation instructions, cuttings lists
  • Ability to provide design advice (not a full design)
  • Support installation advice and plan
  • Design liaison with Group design team on special products
  • Ability to highlight precautionary issues to structure engineers
  • Design and develop documents to secure future manufacturing efficiency and systems
Skills & Experience:
  • Computer literate and proficient in CAD, with proven drawing skills and preferably experienced in Design for Manufacture together with competence using Excel
  • Whilst a structural engineering qualification is not essential the individual must be able to demonstrate a keen understanding of structural engineering concepts and basic design principles
  • Experience in a metal fabrication background/company would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of Maths/Physics
