This has been a record-breaking year for us, but we wont be resting on our laurels; were ambitious, continuing to grow and develop, and were moving to superb, custom-builtpremises on a prestigious development just up the road in April 2022.We now have a vacancy for a CAD Technician/Technical Support Adviser. You will report to our Technical Director, who will provide the on-going training and support you need to grow into this brand new and very varied role. The main responsibilities are outlinedbelow. • Produce 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Arrange to undertake visits to customer sites to obtain data to enable accurate part design and manufacture.
• Assist in expanding the organisations technical resource library, creating resources such as how-tos, cross reference guides and manuals.
• Assist the Technical Director in providing support to various Sales teams and directly to customers regarding complex product enquiries and technical issues, providing cover in the Technical Directors absence.
• Perform quality checks on parts received from suppliers in accordance with ISO requirements.
• Support the Technical Director in expanding the Companys product range, creating new part numbers and kits and ensuring the implementation of new products is in line with stock, data and warehousing processes.
• Create new price lists and expand existing ones.
• Provide training in technical documentation, new products and price lists to Sales teams.

Key skills/qualities

• Minimum of 18 months experience in a similar or related role.
• Qualified and experienced in using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
• Highly literate/numerate, with strong IT skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role.
• Holds a full driving licence.
• Pays meticulous attention to detail.
• Articulate, confident and comfortable working with people at all levels.
• Highly organised, methodical and adept at multi-tasking.
• Good interpersonal skills; able to build strong working relationships internally/externally.
• Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative.
• First-rate time management.
• Technical knowledge of equipment, particularly its component parts, used in concrete production is desirable.

Hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday visits to customer sites.23 days holiday plus public holidays.Discretionary bonus scheme.Excellent working environment.Free on-site parking.
