Job Description

Our client is a multi-disciplinary practice comprising Architects, Landscape Architects, Masterplanners and Interior Designers. With a diverse range of award-winning projects in both the public and private sector, we focus uponthe creation of lasting sustainableenvironmentsthat, first andforemost; will enrich the livesand experience of people andtheir communities.The ideal candidate will be proficient in running medium to large-sized projects, with experience in residential and/or educational sector schemes preferable.Experience in leading a team - with the capability of liaising with clients and consultants effectively - is essential. The right candidate will have experience in BIM and will have worked in a 3D environment, with knowledge about clash detection and coordinatingwith consultants information. ArchiCAD experience would be ideal although not necessarily a requirement.This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Project Architect, with a proven track record of working on multiple projects across a variety of sectors, to join a thriving practice at their new studio, and become a key part of its growthinto the future. As such, the ideal candidate will enjoy networking in the region to meet new potential clients to grow the Business in the region.ROLETo work directly with the studio’s Associate Director on the design and development of projects - from concept stage right through to the completion of a project. The role will be as an Architect, both leading an "in house" team of architectural staff andalso an external design team comprising sub-consultants for large residential, educational, and commercial schemes.DEVELOPING THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNWhat can you expect Lead the briefing processRecord the brief in report form and minutes.Take responsibility for the production of Accommodation Strategies and Feasibility StudiesReview and comment on project programmesDevelop Deliverables Schedules for the architectural teams and all associated consultants (where required)Obtain quotations for sub-consultants and surveys and appoint as necessaryPrepare concept design sketches and develop the design by utilising ArchiCAD and Sketch-upBrief and manage an architectural team to realise design proposals in a drawn formatBrief and manage a Visualiser, culminating in a 3D animation of the projectContribute to the development of the ArchiCAD BIM modelProduce Stage Reports and any other necessary reports required for projectsTake responsibility for the compilation of the Planning Application packageChair, record and minute Design Team meetings and Co-ordination meetings
