Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work alongside our kitchen team on a part-time basis in order to support the smooth running and delivery of service for clients, staff and visitors to the charitys National Centre.Kitchen Assistant (Part-time) - Bristol Based CharityRef: KA400Location: Pill, Bristol (BS20)Salary: £10.50 per hourHours: Part-time, 12.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly as agreed in advanceContract: PermanentBenefits: We offer 30 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays pro-rata, enhanced sick pay after six months service, the opportunity to join the charitys pension and life assurance scheme plus free parking on sitePenny Brohn UK is a national charity providing free care and support to anyone affected by cancer, before, during and after treatment. Based on over 40 years of working alongside people with cancer, our evidence-based approach helps those we support to feelmore informed, empowered and in control.The roleReporting to the Head Chef the post holder will assist the busy kitchen team with washing up, general cleaning and serving/clearing tables for clients, visitors and staff in the Penny Brohn restaurant. They will also service a number of meeting and functionrooms to ensure that they are set up as required with refreshments in place ahead of any internal or external bookings. The post holder will adhere to a daily routine ensuring that a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the kitchen.The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a customer service setting
  • Ability to proactively assist other team members during busy periods
  • Excellent communication skills with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to act with discretion at all times
The role is offered part-time at 12.5 hours per week which can be worked flexibly with shifts being discussed and agreed in advance with the Head Chef.
