Job Description

Do you have experience in an export compliance or similar government role and a strong understanding of international trade rules and regulations If so, our client, an aerospace manufacturing company, is recruiting for a UK Export Compliance Specialist.Reporting to the Global Director of Trade Compliance, the role will involve ensuring that the company is in full compliance with the import and export laws of the United Kingdom and all countries where they do business.   • Having overall responsibility forthe export compliance of approximately $300 million annual transactions.
  • Designing, implementing, and managing the company’s export compliance program.
  • Developing and delivering an ongoing, tailored training program around compliance.
  • Developing and managing a compliant export licensing program.
  • Conducting periodic internal and external compliance assessments of facilities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures and compliance.
  • Reviewing and processing picking tickets when returned from the warehouse, ensuring packing details are correct.
  • Preparing all shipping documentation, including commercial invoices.
  • Liaising with external freight forwarders and managing outbound deliveries.
UK Export Compliance SpecialistEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an export compliance or similar government role is essential.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and working understanding of international trade rules and regulations.
  • Good computer skills including SAP/GTS, Microsoft Office Suite, or other related software.
