Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all QA policies and procedures including the following:

develops and implements visual, physical, functional, or other appropriate measures and tests of quality;
analyses and reports upon the results of quality control tests to ensure that production remains within specification;
considers the impact of legislation upon specification requirements;
examines current operating procedures to determine how quality may be improved;
examines operating procedures to ensure the process and the product meet regulatory standards and implements changes necessary to ensure compliance.
provides leadership, support, and guidance directly to their team and indirectly and directly to other plant personnel to ensure; food quality standards, food safety guidelines, legal requirements (as they pertain to food safety), and customer expectationsare met.
to report directly to the senior management/Director. They will assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated manufacturing practice systems, validating processes, providing documentation, and managing staff.

inspection of raw materials, fresh produce, meat, poultry, and seafood, and all types of packaging of dry and fresh foods and deal with all quality issues.

Requirements:

Strong supervisory, communication, training, and interpersonal skills along with problem-solving and analytical skills
Relevant previous experience is desired and working knowledge of food safety regulations
Effective organizational skills together with the ability to manage priorities and complexities.
Knowledge of machines and good computer skills.
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Excellent communication, training, and team building skill.
Good writing, statistical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and respond to the concerns of managers, subordinates, and regulatory agencies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time.
