Job Description

The B&S Group is a privately-owned pharmaceutical company which manufactures and distributes pharmaceutical and healthcare products to the UK market. Established in 1999 we offer a wide range of products and services which includes specials, generic drugs, branded medicines, parallel trade and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines. Having undergone two acquisitions since 2010, we are continuing to strengthen and grow.The National Sales Team Manager will be responsible for increasing the total revenue for each Regional Sales Manager, ensuring consistent profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning and thorough performance management of the sales force. You will identify objectives, strategies and action plans to ensure retention and growth of existing business while ensuring growth on new accounts.Responsibilities

  • Manage the training and on-going performance of our UK based retail sales team.
  • Set, manage and deliver sales revenue and profit targets for each UK based Regional Sales Managers.
  • Daily review and monitoring of each Territory Managers activity.
  • Responsible for understanding the client base, their requirements and developing sales propositions.
  • Create, develop and implement new account acquisition and customer retention plans.
  • Provision of sales reports and analysis of performance for senior management.
  • Contribution to marketing plans and promotional campaigns.
  • Understanding regulatory requirement within the sector and ensure compliance.
  • Identifying and contributing to client engagement programmes and event opportunities.
  • Building close working relationships with our global support functions.
  • Requirements & Competencies
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a sales team with a demonstratable record of growth.
  • Experience of running a successful field sales team with individual team targets.
  • Strong management skills, including strong performance management techniques, coaching, succession planning and career development.
  • Analytical with previous experience in preparation of sales plans and reports.
  • Strategic, results driven individual with commercial business acumen.
  • Proven track record in key account acquisition.
  • Track record of delivering results in fast paced, competitive industry.
  • Good understanding of electronic ordering platforms within Pharmacy (beneficial)
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Good project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong competence in data analysis and insight development
  • Understanding of community pharmacy audience (preferred)
  • Operates to a good degree of autonomy
