Job Description

Loss Prevention Manager - Full Time - Greater LondonMieszko Supermarket is a chain of supermarkets specialising in European foods.As a Loss Prevention Manager you will be responsible for supporting around 8 stores in Greater London area. You will advise, influence and support Operational Management on all aspects of shrinkage reduction. Carry out proactive store support visits to identify areas of shrinkage and make recommendations on mitigating loss. Ensure that all aspects of inventory shrink-related operational processes are fully investigated and results are recorded. You will work most of the time by visiting stores and some days in the month from head office.You will build standard operating procedures for loss prevention, stock management, stock loss prevention and risk management. You will monitor compliance with standard operating procedures for loss prevention.The applicant should have retail business experience within a Loss prevention/audit/compliance role. They should have a basic knowledge of criminal investigation including, interviewing techniques, criminal law and rules of evidence, as it applies to a commercial retail environment.

  • Facilitate loss prevention initiatives that reduces shrinkage
  • Maintain solid partnership with store management and area managers.
  • Review stock room space and create tools to maximize space in stock room and make merchandise easily accessible for stock and sales staff.
  • Stock loss prevention. Carry on weekly stock counts. Stock markdown during sale periods
  • Plan, prepare and organise biannual stock takes.
  • Implement or monitor processes to reduce stock and cash losses.
  • Investigate known or suspected internal theft, external theft, or vendor fraud.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report or investigate crimes.
  • Conduct store audits to identify problem areas or procedural deficiencies.
  • Identify and report merchandise or stock shortages.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, or access points to determine security risks.
  • Maintain documentation or reports on security-related incidents or investigations.
  • Perform covert surveillance in person and/or on CCTV of areas susceptible to loss, such loading docks, till areas and entry/exit doors.
  • Prepare written reports on investigations.
  • Review and recommend new or improved processes to reduce risk exposure.
  • Train shop managers, staff and office personnel in loss prevention activities.
  • Verify proper functioning of physical security systems, such as closed-circuit televisions, alarms, sensor tag systems, or locks.
