RECRUITING NOW FOR CARE WORKERS. WE ARE A COMMISSIONED SERVICE BY BARNSLEY COUNCIL. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY AS FULL COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.£10.00 per hour plus a tax free mileage allowance.FULL TIME OR PART TIME - TEMPORARY, PERMANENT OR BANK STAFFInterviews currently being held over the phone, Face to Face and via video calls.Reports to: Care CoordinatorPurpose of roleTo support service users with all aspects of their day to day living, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life. Providing care and support is both a challenging and rewarding experience. You will mostly work alone with the service user in their home. Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role in our company.Key responsibilitySafely provide compassionate care and support that is centred on the individual needs and wishes of each service user. Respect service users choices and promote their dignity at all times. You may be the only person the service user sees over a period of time, it is therefore essential to report any changes or causes for concern to your line manager promptly. You need to be clear about when to seek help and advice in order to keep service users safe and promote their well-being..We will provide full training in line with regulatory requirements.Role SpecificationThe person specification is a picture of skills, knowledge and experience required to carry out this role. Experience of building positive working relationships with people who use services and their families, staff and other health and social care professionals.Ability to support service users with all aspects of their daily living in a manner that respects their dignity, is non- judgemental and promotes their independence, choices and privacy.Ability to prioritize workloads effectively so customers receive the services they expect.Ability to maintain clear written and electronic records and to follow statutory reporting procedures.Ability to follow Niche Cares policies, procedures and instructions.Additional requirementsWillingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date.Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service formally known as the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure Required skills
