BUSINESS OVERVIEWAt Sony UK Technology Centre (UK TEC) we have over 500 highly skilled Team Players, who help create some of the most advanced technology on the global market. Alongside producing the latest in broadcast technology, our world-class engineers work on multiplethird-party manufacturing products. This collaborative approach to contract manufacturing has produced many commercial successes over the years, including the best-selling British computer of all time, the Raspberry Pi. We also work to pioneer the latest ground-breakingmanufacturing processes of the future through the Advanced Manufacturing Research Operations Centre.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:This role will be responsible for the Production process within the Manufacturing Operations at Sony UKTec. You will lead a highly motivated team and be responsible for producing a varied range of complex products in small & large batch sizes whilst maintainingthe highest quality supply to professional and consumer markets. You will be expected to deliver on agreed daily, weekly & monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and creating and delivering strategies in line with the mid-range Plan. You need to buildrelationships and networks internally and externally to drive best practice within the department.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing the production process and team
• Job control and schedule delivery
• Collating and reporting KPIs relevant to the manufacturing operation
• Analysing data and improving processes
• Creating new standards plus adhering to existing standards resulting in the production of the highest quality product
• Liaising with several supporting departments, e.g. Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.
• Reviewing team and individual performance and identifying training needs
• Coaching and mentoring of team
• Performance Management
• Coordinating manning and flexibility to support changes in production quantity
• Maintaining engagement and motivation levels within the team
• Leading training programs in line with new technologies
• Ensuring Health and Safety guidelines are followed

• Previous Leadership experience
• Ability to work within a demanding production/target driven environment.
• Computer literate, ability to analyse data, familiar with Microsoft Office or similar

Desirable:

• A level of understanding of Six Sigma, 5S, Production Innovation and Lean methodology
• The ability to demonstrate a flexible approach
