Job Description

Phlebotomists are required to join our team working at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. You will be based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital and will also be required to work at Maidstone Hospital and GP surgeries. On occasions you may work for both the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals. There is also a necessary commitment to some weekend work at the Hospitals.You will be collecting blood samples from a wide variety of staff across NHS partner organisations including GPs and pharmacists. An evacuated tube method for blood taking is employed.Experience in phlebotomy is desirable, although training will be provided to ensure competency. You will be part of a team working to provide high quality services to patients and medical staff within the area, and will need to have excellent manual dexterity and a caring and compassionate attitude.Please note that appointments to these posts will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at enhanced level.
