Job Description

Job Title: Pathology TechnologistLocation: Tunbridge Wells, TN2Hours Available: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pmSalary: £11.76 to £14.32 per hour, dependant on experienceContract: Until March 2024 initially Gi Group are looking to recruit a Qualified Anatomical Pathology Technologist to our Public Sector client, based in Tunbridge Wells. The successful candidate will hold a Pre 2015 diploma or post-2015 level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology and willalso have knowledge of the full post mortem process including autopsies. Duties of the Anatomical Pathology Technologist

Assist with mortuary duties in a professional respectful fashion, including autopsy, care and condition checking.
Be responsible for the registration and release of the deceased patients.
Complete post mortem reporting and registration documents.
Report findings and issues to the Direct Line Manager and teams where required.
Observe all safety and due diligence processes while carrying out duties.

Role Criteria

A Pre 2015 diploma or post-2015 level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology is essential for this role.
A professional and respectful approach and demeanour is required.
Strong communication skills.
Must be able to prioritise tasks and own workload to specific deadlines.
Due to nature of the role, candidates must be able to provide working references and undergo a Basic DBS check.
