Job Description

Helpdesk CoordinatorThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, passionate team as Helpdesk CoordinatorPosition: Helpdesk Coordinator (internal title Active Support Coordinator)Location: Pembury, near Tunbridge WellsHours: Full time 37.5 hours per week, part time consideredSalary: £27,095 from 1 April 2020Contract: PermanentBenefits: Generous pension scheme and holiday allowance, including that ability to buy and sell holiday. Long Service is also recognised plus free parking and subsidised meals.Closing Date: 10 March 2020Interview Date: 16 March 2020The RoleThe Helpdesk Co-ordinator will manage and administer the Active Support Helpdesk ensuring a first-class level of service to internal customers. You will coordinate all aspects of the Active Support department whose functions are catering, facilities, housekeeping and ICT as well as co-ordinating assigned projects. You will lead on:

  • Ensuring maximum availability of Hospice ICT services.
  • Ensuring all Hospice premises including shops and any remote sites are maintained in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ensuring that high quality food is prepared for patients, visitors and the workforce
  • Ensuring that a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and the workforce is available at all times.
  • About youWith a calm disposition, the Helpdesk Coordinator will be self-motivated, trustworthy and have a genuine empathy with the work of hospices.You will bring with you:
  • High levels of ICT literacy to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher and Outlook.
  • Previous experience in a busy office environment and working to tight deadlines.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels and to act at all times with tact and diplomacy.
  • A high level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to apply personal organisation strategies and processes to prioritise and effectively manage workload, working to short and long-term objectives.
