Job Description

Business Development ManagerTerritory: South-East EnglandUp to £59,000 per annum D.O.E, uncapped Commission Plan + Car Allowance £400 pcmOur client, an IT consultancy based in the heart of, Staffordshire are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager. Interested candidates with suitable experience would be responsible for generating new business sales and developing and executing a sales strategy covering South East England. Alongside an attractive salary and commission package, you will have the chance to work for a well-established international business with a friendly and supportive culture.Main duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Manager

  • Generate sales in-market/territory and as per company Sales and Marketing Strategy by developing relationships with potential new customers.
  • Manage and grow the sales pipeline in-market to achieve sales targets.
  • Undertake digital marketing campaigns including systematic telephone follow-ups and other promotional events/activity, in order to book sales visits/presentations with potential clients. Use CommuniGator to execute email campaigns in line with marketing policy and CM strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospects / customers, consistent with the overall company approach. Work in conjunction with the Commercial Director and Bid Writer to prepare and deliver tenders to market sector clients as appropriate.
  • Regularly report on market sales performance against targets, marketing and promotional activities.
  • Actively participate in sales & marketing strategy sessions to ensure our business and product strategy maximise the sector opportunities.
  • Line manage the Account Managers allocated to your territory, ensuring all team members are set KPIs and their performance is proactively managed and improved where necessary.
  • Achieve the territory’s annual revenue targets by maintaining existing revenues and upselling additional product and services to customers through proactive campaign and sales management.
  • Act as first escalation point for customer complaints and try and resolve them without Director involvement where possible.
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing customers in order to provide a single point of access. To be achieved through regular meetings / tele con’s dependant on the customer’s needs etc.
  • Upsell services to existing customers in line with their needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth delivery of services to your allocated customers.
  • Skills and experience of the successful Business Development Manager:
  • Excellent knowledge of the Electronic Homecare Monitoring market, Social Care or Private Care with good IT technical skills.
  • Well-developed sales skills in order to create, maintain and enhance prospect / customer relationships.
  • A good understanding of the Project Management process (Prince II skills desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills written, analytical and verbal, maintaining accurate / accessible and organised documentation in line with the Companies’ record keeping procedures and systems (CRM and CommuniGator).
  • Excellent client facing skills (listening but also questioning to minimize workloads on CM).
  • Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to spot up selling and breakout opportunities.
  • The organisation skills to provide timely campaign performance reports in line with the sales meeting reports.
  • Ability to stand alone and self-motivate, but also work in a team as and when required.
