Job Description

Location: Peldon, ColchesterSalary: £12,756 (£8.92 per hour)Enhanced pay rates will apply to this role for weekend working Hours: Average 25.5 hours per weekRef: E324You will provide night-time support in a residential setting to people who are within the autistic spectrum, as well as completing cleaning and laundry night staff duties.You will be a flexible, positive, energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual - your main duties will include:

  • Supporting individuals during the night within their home based at our residential campus.
  • Supporting individuals with evening and night-time activities, personal care and administration of medication if required.
  • Completing the night staff tasks, as per the rota, including cleaning, laundry duties and ironing.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting risk assessments for the service user, attending best interest meetings and reviews if required.
  • Producing support plans for night-time needs.
  • Experience:We need people who share our passion for making a difference and although experience of working with autism would be valuable, it is not essential for this role as full training will be given.
  • Experience of working within care services or with individuals with an autistic spectrum condition - desirable
  • Ability to react with sensitivity and empathy - essential
  • Ability to maintain accurate records - essential
  • HSC Level 2 - Care or equivalent, or the willingness to achieve this - essential
