Job Description

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week at our Crawley office)Are you looking to kick-start your career in sales Have you been told that you would be great at sales by your friends and familyWilliam Reed, an exciting and dynamic global media company based in West Sussex, is looking to invest in your potential!You may not have lots of experience on your CV but if you are highly motivated, inquisitive and love telling a story we have an exciting opportunity within our award-winning exhibitions team to carve out a successful career in sales.Responsibilities:

  • Be part of a collaborative and highly motivated team selling exhibition space, sponsorship and digital
  • Receive best in class training on the consultative / challenger sales techniques required to build a successful sales career
  • Build a deep understanding of the UK food & drink industry, keeping up to date with market trends to become a trusted advisor to your clients
  • Learn the skills to sell via a multi-channel approach of cold calls, emails, social outreach, networking and independent research to book in meetings with potential clients
  • Develop account management skills to gain trust and build long-term relationships with customers. Ranging from entrepreneurial start ups all the way through to the biggest companies in the X billion Food & Drink industry
  • Create tailored proposals for both existing clients and new businesses
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate excelling interpersonal skills and have the ability to talk confidently to people that you have never met
  • Have a love of learning and be interested in how current affairs and global changes can affect a variety of industries
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a motivated sales team
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a strong team player and ability to work under pressure
  • Have an entrepreneurial flair with a determined outlook and a desire to deliver results
