Door AssemblerLocation: Bedford, MK43 7PSSalary: £10.30 per hour Contract: Full Time, PermanentSurelock McGill is a world leader in high security locking systems that protect the nation from threats. As a family run business for over 60 years, we have a busy team, and we are always on the lookout for apprentices and have multiple positions at ourhead office in Wokingham and others based around the country namely (Bedford, Oldham, Kidderminster and Salisbury)Door Manufacturer / Assembler - The Role:We are expanding to recruit a Door Manufacturer / Assembler to be trained to assemble and build our custom door requirements.This will include:

• Installation of locks and ancillary parts.
• Work within our quality system ensuring all work is cross-checked and signed for.
• Assistance with product development.
• Opportunities for site work (subject to further discussion, requires security clearance).
• Take ownership and responsibility for the area you are working in or task you are performing.
• Follow all Standard Operating procedures and help review when required.
• Ensure that you are aware of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and that you adhere to them at all times.
• Maintain a positive working atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with colleagues.
• Supporting the team to ensure no production down time, that customers orders go out on time and that quality of the final products are of the highest quality.

Door Manufacturer / Assembler - Skills & Qualifications:

• Carpentry / Joinery skills or an interest therein
• DIY skills
• Not afraid of using hand tools and machinery (with training)
• Good attention to detail
• Physically fit
• Punctual
• Willing to learn
• Good communication skills
• A strong focus towards quality and safety.
