Job Description

Production Team Leader required to operate and oversee drinks manufacturing machine lines for a growing business near Canterbury. £26K-£30K doe + benefits and great prospects. 8-4.30 Monday to Friday. Bus stop near site. Free parking. Permanent.Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Team Leader will oversee a number of machines / small teams of Operatives in the production department, the bottling line, the disgorging line and labelling. There will be times where work in the wineryis also required both during and outside of the harvest period. The Production Team Leader will need to be diligent, with an eye for detail and self-starting in a fast paced production environment, managing teams, and making improvements in a continuous improvementenvironment.Production Team Leader additional responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and organized working environment in the Production Department
• Supervise, set up and run machines / small production lines.
• Motivate, develop and mentor Production Operatives.
• Develop a continuous / process improvement environment.
• Clean and maintain respective line/machines and workplace areas.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks/shipments.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Follow Health and Safety protocols.
• Ensure QC procedures are followed.
• Learn and regularly review the job descriptions.
• Assist training new Production Hands/Operatives.
• Other tasks as requested.

Harvest:Time frame: Middle of September to end of October

• Oversee and support all harvest activities from grape receival, pressing, cleaning and cellar work
• Note that 10 - 12 hour days and night shift work are likely for 3-4 weeks, but may be for longer.
