Job Description

Our client is the global leader in the creation of flavours and fragrances, and has created this brand new role on the back of BREXIT - Import/Export Coordinator.Hours are flexible Monday-Friday day shifts dependant on which European countries you will be dealing with.In close collaboration with food, beverage, consumer product and fragrance partners, our client develops tastes and scents that delight consumers the world over.Locally, our client specialises in and iis internationally known as a leader in plant extraction and the development of natural ingredients and solutions for the food, health and beauty sections.About the RoleBeing an Import/Export Coordinator, you will be a part of the Logistics team (6 in the team) located in Overseal, Derbyshire and reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. You will ensure all documentation relating to both imports and exports complies with legislation and Company procedures. This is for a 6 - 12 month fixed term contract.The successful candidate will have familiarity in dealing with logistics businesses, freight forwarders, customs clerks etc. and will have excellent problem solving skills.You Will:

  • Together with Customs Brokers, you will ensure import and export customs declarations have the correct values, commodity classifications, tariff code and authorisations.
  • You will check the correct Excise Duty and VAT is paid and log non-conformances to the relevant parties.
  • You will correspond with external customers ie, carriers, suppliers and HMRC but also with internal customers, ie., colleagues in sales, procurement and transport.
  • You Have:
  • 3+ years experience in customs clearnace and documentation for both import and export, preferably in an Industrial background
  • Knowledge of international transport and logistics
  • Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements
