You will be the data specialist across the school, working to ensure the accuracy of data in implementing, maintaining, and developing the MIS. This is a vitalrole as data underpins many important decisions affecting pupil progress and attainment.St Peters Catholic High School in Orrell (WN5 8NU) is a special place to work, known for its emphasis on work life balance, wellbeing, and a supportive team culture.   • Actual salary is £24,149 to (Pt20) £26,766.
  • Hourly is £14.17 to £15.70.
  • Working 40 weeks per year.
  • 37 hours a week approximately 08:00 - 16:00 Mon to Fri.

Duties of the Data Manager:
  • Develop and co-ordinate systems and procedures for collection, analysis and reporting of pupils statistical information.
  • Ensure complete and full educational data is available for all students from KS2 onwards.
  • Analyse and produce data to enable each Department to set performance targets.
  • Assist on the development of systems and reporting formats to meet the needs of the school.
  • Collate, analyse and produce accessible performance data from KS2-KS4 including internal and
  • Analyse and produce pupil target data in line with the school calendar and required deadlines.
  • Ensure all internal data is kept up to date and validated on a timely basis.
  • Preparation and submission of all data returns to the DfE, Local Authority and Archdiocese.
  • In liaison with Assistant Head assist with the administration of set changes.
  • Support senior staff in collection, and analysis of data in line with deadlines.
  • Assist in the co-ordination, production and provision of information related to exams, tests, or reports to parents and for the school website.
  • Assist the Exams Manager on occasion.
The Data Manager Must Have/Be:
  • GCSE English and Maths (A to C) or equivalent.
  • One year+ in an admin/analytical role using spreadsheets.
  • Ability to gather information and manipulate data.
  • Significant recent experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of education and child protection issues.
  • Good numeracy, analytical and literacy skills.
  • Ability to communicate and relate well with a range of children and adults with varying abilities.
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
  • Ability to plan and manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Can demonstrate advanced IT skills using Word and Excel to a high standard.
  • Ability to accurately record and collate data and produce written reports.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Commitment to support the distinctive ethos of the school.
  • Maintain confidentiality where appropriate.
  • Adaptable, flexible, diplomatic, tactful, and committed to success.
  • Tact and a sense of humour.
An Advantage but not Essential:
  • Have a relevant qualification in IT/ business admin.
  • Previous admin /analytical experience gained in local government or education.
  • Experience of using SIMS software.
  • Ability to seek and use online learning resources.
  • An awareness of current issues facing schools and education.
