The COMPANY: A prominent and highly successful specialist technology company established 25 years, supplying the construction, rail, nuclear and manufacturing industries in the UK and internationally. The firm has been recognised with multipleawards and has twice been included in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100.The ROLE: Reporting to the Head of Marketing, a versatile and creative individual is required to manage and develop the companys extensive group of websites - i.e. the main (corporate) site, product/brand niche microsites and a transactional(e-commerce) site for parts, spares and accessories. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced developer to own the look and feel of the websites, their functionality and inter-dependence, in addition to collating content (but NB, not generating/writingit). The Website Manager will thus be given creative freedom to bring their personality and flair to the role - whether it be relating to functionality, SEO performance, photography, design, plug-ins, server/domain hosting or social media engagement. You wouldalso act as the de-facto inhouse first-line support for all website-related technical issues such as bugs and downtime etc.The IDEAL CANDIDATE will possibly (but not necessarily) be a graduate in computing or digital media but the successful candidate will have at least two years strong web development experience - i.e. combining development with design, strategyand basic analytics. Strong ability in WordPress and PHP are crucial - and Magento desirable but not essential. Previous experience in managing an e-commerce platform with payment/gateway functionality would be a distinct advantage. Perhaps of most importance are a keen eye for detail and the versatility to switchproject and multitask effectively. The opportunity is full-time, in-house, based in spacious and comfortable premises adjacent to the M60 and thus easily accessible by car from all parts of Greater Manchester. There is a direct bus from Piccadilly (c. 30 mins). WFH is possible after the initialcollaboration process, working with colleagues and learning about the company. This is an outstanding opportunity with a company which has a strong philosophy of retaining and rewarding employees, resulting in a very low turnover of staff.First interviews will be held in late July.
