MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER OLDHAM£28,500 - £35,000 Monday - Friday Days Due to significant investment in new machinery and lines, my client, a Market leading manufacturing company is seeking to bolster its maintenance engineering team with the addition of a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer. This opportunity offers great securityand stability for the right candidate. With progressive training and development these roles also allow promotion in the longer term, whilst being supported by a friendly and welcoming team.Role Description *To carry out routine servicing and inspection on all production machinery and mechanical systems and equipment.*Use the preventative maintenance system to reduce breakdowns and unplanned maintenance.*Carry out essential legislative testing of mechanical equipment and systems.*To work safely within the companys Health and Safety Procedures.*To identify and keep essential stock items at necessary working levels.*To assist the General Manager in identifying process improvements through elimination of downtime and other continuous improvement initiatives (CIP Process).*To assist the Group Maintenance Manager with projects and developments.*Liaise, when necessary, with external contractors.Skills and Qualifications*To have a flexible approach towards overtime, shutdown working and call-out cover as required.*Pipework and steam experience - essential *Welding and Fabrication experience - desirable*Previous experience of rubber production and/or fabric coating machines preferable*Full driving licence and use of a car for occasional travel between locations.*A recognised, relevant trade apprenticeship with at least 3years experience within a similar role are essential.Company InformationAs a business our client is a market leader across the whole of the UK.
