Job Description

Operations Coordinator MultimodalOldham, Manchester£20,000 - £25,000 (Flexible Depending On Experience) MondayFriday, 08:30-17:00An exciting new role has arisen with a quick growing supply chain business for an experienced operations coordinator to join their team. The role will have full exposure to the multimodal operation and will be a great position for someone who is lookingto progress with the business.The ideal candidate will have a freight forwarding background within multimodal operation, knowledge and understanding of customs clearance and, have a willingness to learn.The Candidate;

  • Experience of working within a freight forwarding business
  • Import and export experience
  • Multimodal freight exposure is beneficial
  • Customs clearance and entries experience is desired
  • Experience of CHIEF, Destin8, CNS or Data Freight is highly desirable
  • A good knowledge and understanding of customs documentationimport & export
  • Strong IT skills
  • Up to date knowledge of import and export regulations
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • A good understanding of shipping documentation
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Must have a flexible approach
  • Be able to work within a developing forward thinking team
Duties and Responsibilities;
  • Booking import and export movements via road, sea & air
  • Create and send rate sheets using excel
  • Produce sales invoices
  • Provide new customers with quotes
  • Check purchase order numbers and match coding.
  • Support team members
