Job Description

Im working with a reputable, growing business which operates in the construction/FM sector to recruit an experienced H&S Advisor/Manager.This newly created role will report to the MD and will:

  • Be proactive in suggesting and implementing safety initiatives
  • Be able to take the lead and champion the development of safe systems of work
  • Offer pragmatic advice and solutions to issues raised by project teams
  • Be amenable and approachable to ensure positive relationships are developed with other team members
  • Be an excellent communicator with all staff, clients & contractors and be able to challenge individuals on safety matters
  • Be comfortable delivering toolbox talks and safety updates
The key responsibilities of the role are:
  • Carry out regular safety inspections on all sites, across the UK
  • Assist the warehouse team in maintaining safety compliance
  • Assist project teams in the development of SSOW
  • Assist the compliance manager with accreditations
  • Complete client PQQ documents where related to safety
  • Issues regular communications to all staff on pertinent topics
  • Collate H&S KPIs and present results to the management team
Qualifications & Experience
  • TechIOSH status or above
  • NEBOSH general certificate
  • CSCS white card
  • Experience within the construction and/or FM sectors
  • Asbestos awareness trained
The role will be a mix of working at home and office.site based with flexibility offered. We will consider part time hours of 4 days per week.The business will offer an attractive salary and benefits package tailored to the successful candidate including a competitve salary and car/car allowance.
