Job Description

To deliver our promises to our customers we are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focussed individual to appoint to the following key position:(£37,114 - £39,726)PermanentThe main purpose of the post isTo support the Head of Assets, Investment Strategy undertake a wide range of functions to help develop and deliver Asset Management Strategy and other associated strategies, policies and procedures.To ensure that the Asset and Investment Team develops and supports the Business Plan that provides customers with affordable, low carbon housing and social solutions, in line with the Organisations strategic objectives. Deliver the Organisations statutory and regulatory targets.Key Responsibilities:Sustainability

  1. Help to develop, implement and monitor environment and sustainability strategy.
  2. Develop and implement mechanisms to achieve sustainable and energy efficiency targets within the workplace with an aim to achieve relevant accreditation.
  3. Develop mechanisms to measure and monitor environmental impact (business, stock, behaviour) and develop relevant action plan(s) to improve performance.
  4. Working with communications and marketing teams, communicate and market sustainability campaigns (internal/external) to educate and inform on any change to be implemented and how it will impact on the environment and workplace.
Energy Efficiency
  1. Help to develop and deliver energy efficient and carbon reduction targets.
  2. Provide advise and innovative solutions to improve and maintain the stocks sustainability and energy efficiency.
  3. Develop and implement process and procedures for the management of EPC surveys.
  4. Facilitate energy performance and thermography surveys as required, making recommendations for additional retrofit activity to help improve the energy efficiency of homes.
  5. Work with the Asset Planning Manager to develop and deliver energy efficient and low carbon projects including developing communication, consultation and customer events as part of the project as and when required.
Data Analysis and collection
  1. Assist with transferring component and cost based information to the housing management and asset management system, ensuring data regarding low carbon/energy efficiency are captured and maintained.
  2. Undertake research to identify new technologies to improve energy efficiency for residents.
  3. Assist in monitoring/reviewing external energy use and report anomalies to relevant teams.
  4. Record FIT/RHI income received. Ensure any income due is received in a timely manner.
  5. Collate and submit reporting requirements on behalf of, including but not limited to CECR, ESOS.
Performance of Stock
  1. Help to develop and manage an asset performance evaluation and sustainability model, to identify and deliver KPIs re: energy and carbon improvements to stock.
  2. Assist the Head of Asset Investment Strategy undertake option appraisals and sustainability analysis of stock to ensure the Organisation makes appropriate decisions on the level of investment required to its assets to ensure value is maximised.
  3. Explore research opportunities with academic partners to monitor energy and carbon performance following investment.
Carbon Literacy
  1. Lead on the administration and delivery of Carbon Literacy Knowledge training and communication (internally and externally).
  2. Support various teams within the Organisation to provide information and assistance to customers, helping them to improve the energy efficiency within the home, including providing energy efficiency advice.
  3. Identify options that will provide social value for residents by improved asset management processes and investment (incl. reduced fuel costs for residents, improved energy efficiency, identifying renewable energy options).
Project Management
  1. Assist in the production of appropriate documentation for tender, including specifications
  2. Assist in the delivery of energy and sustainability projects in line with appropriate contract administration and project management principles.
  3. Project reporting on schemes where applicable re: energy efficiency, carbon, fuel performance and social value.
Business planning
  1. Identify funding opportunities within the market to maximise potential sources of income and grants for low carbon/energy efficient investment to stock and see funding applications through to completion.
  2. Develop partnerships with manufacturers and third party organisations to maximise opportunities with regard energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
  3. To undertake any other duties appropriate to the purpose of the post as required by the Organisation.
