Job Description

Fabricator / Plater (Workshop Based)PAYE £11.00 -£15.00 p/h Basic rate for 40 hours. Saturdays for overtime availableMonday - Friday Clocking in system 8 hours per day. Flexibility on start and finish times. Start time from 6am -7:30am.Company DescriptionOur client is looking for Fabricators to join a business workshop due to contract wins and looking to increase their permanent staffing force.Duties

  • Mark out material to the drawing requirements.
  • Prep material where required, i.e. drill, saw and shear.
  • Tack up and weld components into the finished assemblies.
  • Competent in reading and understanding comprehensive engineering drawings.
  • Ensuring everything manufactured is built accurately.
  • Working on architectural balustrades, balconies and handrails and/or mediumto heavy structural steel to a high standard of workmanship
  • MIG Welding and fabrication of 6mm - 20mm mild steel
  • Operating the following machinery: guillotine, band saw, punch, and press brake
  • Reading, understanding and following engineering drawings.
The Candidate
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in fabrication and MIG welding
  • Mild and stainless Steel
  • Experienced making Structural steel for buildings, Bridges, Platforms, Marine.
  • Working with Plate fabrications 0-30mm
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • A flexible and friendly working approach and attitude
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Clean valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
