Job Description

Area Sales Manager South East Territory£45 - £55,000 DOE, OTE of £120,000 + company car (hybrid option available) + pension +25 Days holidays plus bank holidays +laptop + smart phone + company credit card.Commission structure: The commission structure is based on a set of milestones and increases from 1% to 5% over the year as you hit the milestones. This is based on units sold and the value of units sold.AOV: £45,000 - £90,000 My client is an established manufacturer of machine tools from milling lathes and manual machines to tool room machining centres. They are looking for an experienced machine tool candidates to join their team of dynamic and ambitious area sales managerscovering territories across the UK. The company boasts excellent staff retention with many of their employees having worked there 20 + years and are offering the opportunity for a driven individual looking to step into their first sales role from a machinetool background, or an accomplished area sales manager with a proven track record within machine tools, tooling, or work-holdings.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to receive exceptional training and development opportunities to progress within their career, whilst working in a very lucrative sector of the machine tool industry.The Role:- Proactively identifying leads and new areas of growth for sales and closing the leads.- Promoting their expansive portfolio of machines against their competitors within the marketspace.-You will take on a well developed territory with between 1000 - 1500 accounts which you will manage whilst winning on new clients.- Producing weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasting when required.- Providing quotes for new customers and developing the relationships.- Working within a team environment to achieve your monthly and quarterly KPI’s.- Assisting with strategic planning within the business- You will work within a set territory to be confirmed within the UK.- Attending trade shows like MACH and EMO when requiredRequirements:- Sales experience within machine tools, tooling or workholdings is desirable but not essential.- Candidates from engineering backgrounds like applications, service engineers etc are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.- A minimum of 4 years’ time served apprenticeship is required for this role.- A strong sales track record is preferred, but open to candidates with the drive to succeed stepping into a sales role.- Strong communication skills and an aptitude for negotiation- Someone with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude- Flexibility to travel when needed for trade shows and events within the UK and globally on occasion.- A full UK driving license-To Apply email your CV over to or call in on .
