An exciting research and development company are currently looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join in a new permanent role, salary is competitive with an excellent benefits package and the role is based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.Job descriptionWe are hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing team for high-performance systems in the fields of robotics, automotive, aerospace, marine, utilities and renewable-energy.Disciplines include, but are not limited to: energy-efficient applications, motor control, radio communications, secure communications, secure storage, anti-tampering, real-time control, navigation, intelligent sensing, autonomy, networking, image/video,DSP.This is not a graduate level role; we are seeking someone with experience outside of university, at the very least where recreational interest is shown and has developed a capability which demonstrates a deep knowledge and passion for the subject, preferablywith at a fewyears experience in similar roles as the timescales and complexities regularly requires team members to have prior depth of knowledge to be able to keep pace.Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
Write reliable and efficient C/C++
Familiarity with tools such as Valgrind/Lint
Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git, SVN, Mercurial)
Work within strict constraints
Strong problem solving ability
Identify and mitigate failures
Strong understanding of computer systems and low-level hardware
Debugging and performance profiling
Estimate project timescales
Test, analyse and verify against requirements
