Job Description

We are actively looking to recruit a Transport Co-ordinator for an exciting manufacturing business based in Colwick, Nottinghamshire!Client DetailsOur client is a market manufacturing leader in their sector. The business current have three warehousing & production sites based around Nottinghmshire with a head office in Colwick. Now in their 52nd year of operation - the business has record year-on-yeargrowth of 28% with headcount now expanding to 291 staff!DescriptionThe successful Transport Co-ordinator will report into the Logistics & Transport Manager on a daily basis at our Colwick site in Nottinghamshire. They will also be responsible for the following areas:

  • Day to day responsibilities will include, but not limited to; daily checks on transport orders, shipment management, POD retrieval, and updating system.
  • Handling customer enquiries via telephone and email, dealing with both inbound and outbound communication.
  • Daily checks on transport orders to ensure they have been collected and delivered in line with Customer requirements.
  • Responsibility for MOTs, TACHO, RFL, Accounts, Fuel Cards and Driver information within a company wide fleet management systems.
  • Working alongside the transport supervisor and supporting the day-to-day planning of vehicles.
  • Booking in collections and deliveries.
  • Liaise with drivers & customer service teams regarding ETAs and problem solving.
  • Checking the driver paperwork is accurate and correct.
  • Administration duties include extensive data inputting, filing, keeping staff records up to date.
ProfileAs a Transport Co-ordinator you will need a background in general transport, warehouse and logistics - along with the following skills:
  • 2+ years experience in transport, logistics and warehousing
  • Commutable to the Colwick area of Nottinghamshire
  • Great customer service skills
  • Experience managing transport & compliance - such as Tachos, WTD, servicing etc.
