Job Description

If this sounds like you, please read on to find out more about the Technical Services Engineer opportunity.How you will utilise your expertise: This role is working with Saint-Gobain Formula - a very diversified business focused on providing plaster and gypsum for industrial applications. Our customers are industrial companies which use our formulations either as part of their manufacturing process or as a raw material to manufacture finished products. We aim to be the industrys first choice for specialist gypsum and plasters solutions, with leading product brands in all markets through product quality and innovation, long term customer partnerships around the world, caring about the environment and with a high level of customer service and technical support.

  • Participate in projects for new product development, process improvement, cost reduction and raw material replacement.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to customers in collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Operations.
  • Ensure products comply with regulatory requirements such as HACCP, REACH and EN Standards.
  • The role requires the ability to conduct laboratory testing, interpretation of results, reporting and presenting.
  • Prepare technical documentation, such as material safety data sheets and test methods, as well as supporting preparation of promotional material.
  • Work autonomously; take initiative on the implementation of action plans to enable results delivery.
  • Alert in case of fluctuation in raw material / product quality in regards with specification.
  • Put in place all necessary action to ensure labs are safe and organised.
  • Implement and share best practices in term of test methods.

  • Ideally, a graduate with some experience in a laboratory or plant environment. (Preferably degree in Chemical, Manufacturing or Process Engineering / Chemistry)
  • Hands-on, progressing the whole job from lab testing, interpretation, conclusions to presenting results.
  • Good communicator to customers and colleagues alike.
  • Good attention to detail and thoroughness.
