Job Description

A world class, global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Strategic Marketing Analyst to join their global marketing team in this newly created position.This is a strategic level role and is home-based so you can technically live anywhere in the UK. You would be assigned to the Nottingham manufacturing site so the ability to travel to Nottingham for meetings etc would be advantageous, but not essential.There is also some global travel with the role so being within travelling distance of a large UK airport would also be an advantage.As the Strategic Marketing Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for conducting market research to develop detailed strategic assessments of the EMEA region in relation to the companys product lines and the industries they serve. These products includeelastomer and thermoplastic seals, sealed connectors, composite wear products, and composite structural components. Knowledge of similar products used the oil & gas, aerospace, energy, medical or semiconductor sectors would be ideal.From the collection of the marketing data, you will then analyse and provide insights into the directions for market growth initiatives in line with the companys plans.Details:

  • c£55k - £62k salary
  • Annual Bonus Scheme (up to 10%)

Key responsibilities of Strategic Marketing Analyst:
  • Liaise with the business units and commercial teams to be their strategic marketing partner in market research for existing, new, and/or underserved markets.
  • Collate information about the needs / goals of the BU to provide input into companys strategy.
  • Conduct research to develop detailed market assessments, including market trends, growth indicators, competitive analysis, established and emerging technologies, market sizing, regulations, applications, and supply chains etc.
  • Gather and interpret market intelligence to inform colleagues about the implications of industry, customer, competitor, and technology news.
  • Attend in person or virtual trade shows and conferences to gain market information.
  • Provide regular updates to peers, management, and leadership team as appropriate.
Qualifications and skills required of Strategic Marketing Analyst
  • Ideally hold a Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or relatable subject
  • 3+ years experience in similar role.
  • Experience in B2B industrial and manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of the tools / processes required for good marketing data collection.
  • Experience in conducting exploratory research to assess business potential by understanding market drivers, market sizes, technology trends, and fit with company capabilities
  • Strategic skills and experience in translating market trends into tangible opportunities.
  • Experience in collecting and interpreting market drivers through Voice of Customer (VOC) projects
  • Critical thinking, analytical and presentation skills are essential.
