Job Description

The OpportunityNigel Wright are delighted to be partnering with a growing Managed Services Provider in the search for a Service Desk Manager. Our client have had a successful year of growth in their offering, winning new clients and are looking to add a manager to the teamto help create a formal service desk structure. This is an exciting time to join a small but growing business and make a real impact by bringing experience and knowledge on service desk best practice to set them up as they scale.Key details

  • This role is remote first. Our client have their roots in Nottingham but are based remotely, most of their clients are in the Midlands so someone based within a 60-90 minute commute would be advantageous to service any face to face client requests.
  • Monday-Friday - core "9-5" hour support, no out of hours or weekend work
  • Managing a current team of 3 with future scope to recruit with growth - current team are very experienced
The Day to Day
  • Create and shape a service desk / service delivery structure using their current ticketing system and resources available
  • Bring experience from other organisations to help shape and influence the service delivery to provide the best service to their clients
  • Bring leadership, guidance and support to a team of 3 with potential to recruit and grow with the business
  • Provide reporting and KPI performance monitoring
  • Provide some technical support / guidance and assistance where required although the 3 team members already in the service desk team have a good level of technicalexperience.
Key Requirements
  • Experienced Service Desk Manager - MSP experience would be great but not essential
  • Someone who can lead and line manage a small team
  • Microsoft 365 environment experience essential
  • Azure knowledge would be preferential
  • Working knowledge of networking (they use Meraki but others are also fine)
  • Working knowledge of Security (they use Connectwise stack but again, others are fine)
