Job Description

A world class, global manufacturing company are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector from the aerospace sector with a high level of FAIRs experience to join the Quality team at their modern manufacturing site in South Nottingham.The Quality Inspector (FAIRs) position is a senior role in the quality department and your main responsibility is to compile information and generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) on all applicable products that comply to AS9100 as well as otherrequired documentation. You are also responsible for liaising with customers on QA and QC enquiries through the relevant company processes. A good level of knowledge on detailed inspection and measurement would be very advantageous.Details:

  • c£35k basic salary (dependant on experience)
  • Monday to Friday day shifts (earlier finish on a Friday)

Key responsibilities of Quality Inspector:
  • Compile and complete customer documentation based on customer requirements
  • Produce First Articles customer forms, certifications, and submit on customer portals where required.
  • Assist customers in providing product data, inspection data, first articles, certifications, and shipping information for customer online programs to satisfy customer special requirements.
  • Support QMS customer satisfaction by supporting and evaluating the effectiveness of Quality Engineering 8D corrective / preventive actions
  • Facilitates on-site customer audits
  • Help support product and process audits on high-risk areas
  • Support corrective action process on internal and external opportunities
  • Evaluate Process Change Control Policies and performs notification of customers
Quality Inspector skills required:
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, 2 years of experience as a DSQR preferred
  • Experience in customer service
  • Continual improvement knowledge
  • An understanding of functional SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100
  • Knowledge on ISO14001 desired, but this can be trained
