Job Description

I have an urgent requirement for an experienced client-facing project engineer to support/deliver virtualisation expertise, on behalf of my Professional Services client.This role is 100% remote.Outside ir35.Role/Responsibilities:

  • Manage project workload/assignment and ensure efficient operation
  • Take ownership of customer solution delivery to ensure expectations are met and SLAs are delivered to
  • Support technical transition
  • You are responsible for the creation and implementation low level design documentation
  • Deliver a first-class customer experience in line with our ITIL procedures
  • Post implementation assistance
    • You will be proficient in the following areas:
  • Technical leadership
  • Working to tight Deadlines
  • Project work task allocation
  • Design workshop participation
  • Pre-installation customer solution testing
  • The ability to engage end customers, to help design and implement technical solutions and create low level design documentation
  • A solid understanding of ITIL process
    • Skills/Experience required:
  • Minimum 3 years experience within Virtualisation technologies
  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Windows Server admin/installation
  • RDS Services
  • SSL Certificates
  • WSUS
  • DNS
  • Active Directory / Group Policy Management
  • OS installation and troubleshooting
  • IIS administration
  • File / Print server understanding
  • Server hardware / Racking / Cabling
  • Bare metal builds / Server hardware installation
  • Server configuration / disk sizing / Firmware Upgrading
  • Storage
  • Configuration, Firmware upgrades/downgrades
  • Mapping WWNs / Fibre cabling
  • Citrix virtual apps and desktops
  • Administration and management (Policies, app delivery. Desktop delivery)
  • Citrix WEM (Workspace environment Manager)
  • FS Logix - VHD / Roaming profile understanding
  • AppSense - application management for use within Citrix
  • Netscalers
  • HA understanding
  • VMWare
  • vSphere 5.5 up to 7.0+
  • Distributed Switches / Stand a lone switches
  • Storage understanding within
  • Cluster/ESXi management, configuration
  • Anti-Virus
  • Symantec Anti-Virus management
  • McAfee Epolicy Orchestra
  • Sophos
  • Troubleshooting
  • Hypervisor
  • ESXi
  • Hyper-V
  • Disaster recovery & Backup Solutions

  • An ITIL qualification is highly advantageous
  • Any experience with Linux, O365, Azure, NetScaler is highly beneficial
