Job Description

Business Development Executive needed to join a niche Motorsport Insurance company based in Nottingham.Key Skills & Knowledge Required:

    • Display an excellent telephone manner and enjoy a varying nature of conversation with clients
    • Work well in high pressure and targeted environment
    • Demonstrate resilience and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
    • Self-organise, with the ability to multi-task
    • Evidence a consultative sales approach, with a focus on maximisation of all sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
  • As Motorsport Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for expanding the client base, presenting and incepting profitable business to our underwriting teams and managing those client accounts.
  • You will be an integral member of a specialist team, responsible for growing the commercial portfolio, winning new business, maintaining an already very high renewal retention rate whilst providing an exemplary level of customer service
  • The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with good diary and time management skills, able to leverage motorsport contacts.
  • You will identify and communicate with new prospects, attend motorsport events at weekends, seek out networking opportunities, and travel to visit new and existing clients.
  • You will be required to learn how to use our underwriting systems, adapt to working within a close knit unit, familiarise yourself and work within the boundaries set by the Markerstudy Group, FCA and other relevant regulatory bodies, as well as developingknowledge of motorsport insurance and our range of products.
Qualifications:
  • Broad knowledge of motorsport disciplines
  • Full driving licence (job requires significant travel)
  • Ability to think laterally and identify, engage and convert prospects
  • Ability to analyse complex information and draw out the relevant facts in relation to insurance covers required
  • Desire to gain sound product knowledge and market awareness.
  • Proficient in handling multiple projects, to agreed timescales and implementation dates
  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise with outside agencies, customers and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail, well organised and have good time management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm Monday-Friday alternate Saturdays 9am-12.30pm
