Mental Health Support Worker Nottingham City £22,669 - £23,428 per annumHere at NCHA we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join new Mental Health support service in NottinghamNCHA are looking for support workers to join our new Mental Health Support Service in Nottingham. You’ll be supporting service users in the community to overcome issues in their daily lives have been impacting negatively on their mental health and wellbeing.You’ll support service users to identify barriers / challenges to living independently and by utilising a strengths-based approach, develop a support plan to enable service users to remain independent in the community, or to facilitate a timely dischargefrom psychiatric wards.We will be delivering a 12-week intervention which involves one to one community support. This will involve supporting service users to recover and overcome issues in their daily lives that impact negatively on their mental health and wellbeing.The primary focus of the service is to enable our service users to remain independent in the community and to facilitate discharge from psychiatric wards.Where will this be basedSheridan Court Mansfield Road NottinghamIdeal candidateWe’re looking for someone who has the values, knowledge and skills of working within a support role supporting clients with mental health needs and can demonstrate how they use their skills and common sense to support vulnerable individuals. They’ll havea commitment to maintaining the dignity and rights of the individuals and families we work with, with top notch communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but we welcome candidates with relevant experience from other sectorsor transferrable skills.Working timesMonday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 however you will need the flexibility to cover occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays due to service requirements.Over to you - show us why you are suitable!Please note that we are not currently offering visa sponsorship.Previous applicants and colleagues re-applying will be reviewed at the manager’s discretion.
