Job Description

Finance ManagerNottingham, NG12Hybrid Working (Mon-Fri with occasional weekend and evening work)£42,000-45,000 per annumOur client, a national sporting governing body, are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their team based at their modern office in NG12. The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures and processes across the organisation, guaranteeing high levels of financial governance at all times. The successful candidate will manage the weekly,monthly and quarterly accounting processes, providing accurate and timely accounts, reports, KPIs and ad hoc performance information to enable department Managers to control and manage their budgets.Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end financial processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial accounting system.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial information to support cost centre Managers in the management of their budgets.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the Finance Team and financial ledgers to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process in line with company timelines.
  • Complete funding partner returns following UK Sport and Sport England policies and procedures.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to committees and treasurers.
  • Oversee the accurate calculation, recording and reconciliation of the payroll function and company pension scheme.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified by experience as a finance manager
  • Experience working within a finance team
  • Knowledge and application of the Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficiency in collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams and effectively communicating with various stakeholders.
  • Well-organised and meticulous, with a focus on maintaining and prioritising accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Leading by example, displaying a self-driven and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Desirable - AAT, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CIPFA qualified/part-qualified, experience using Sage Accounting software, experience working within the non-profit/charity sector.
