Job Description

NottinghamDays£45,000We are looking for a motivated Electrical Design / Controls Engineer to join a market leading specialist company. Reporting directly to the Design manager you will be a key member in ensuring the design and controlls departments for the business. Withprogressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to an engineer looking for their next challengingrole within in a secure and stable company.The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical software programmes, Eplan P8, SEE electrical or autocad electrical as a minimum. Previous design and site-based experienceResponsibilities

  • Attending and making contributions to the design meetings for new and ongoing projects
  • Design of panel layouts using E-plan 8 or SEE Electrical design software
  • Design/programme of ladder logic/ PLC controllers and HMI screens
  • I/O integration of existing equipment
  • Production of technical drawings for panel construction via relevant software
  • Testing and commissioning of Airquick installed systems across the rail infrastructure
  • Development and implementation of remote monitoring and other value-added solutions
  • Fault diagnosis/Investigation, repair, and recommendations on site, dealing directly with clients and end users
Required Skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • An approved C&G apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Excellent computer skills, experience in electrical software programmes. Eplan P8, SEE electrical or Autocad electrical as a minimum.
  • Previous design and site-based experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong Organisational skills
