Job Description

The Business Transformation consultant will play a key role in supporting a strategic change initiative encompassing people, process, and systems.Youll demonstrate excellent business transformation competencies, covering Business Process Reengineering (EG: LEAN, Six Sigma), Operating Model Design and Change delivery, supporting organisations through full lifecycle operational change. Nurturing a culture of Continuous Improvement, youll use exceptional people and behavioural skills to engage, influence and drive operational thinking do changes are understood, accepted, and sustained to optimise performance.Utilising expert Lean Six Sigma skills, the successful candidate scopes and analyses business processes and teams, creating actionable insights for consideration.Responsibilities:

  • Full lifecycle delivery of transformation assignments and projects in line with business requirements, defined scope and time
  • Deliver Operational and Change projects to ensure the maximum ROI through benefits realised in terms of quality, cost and service delivery improvements
  • Collaborate, lead, manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders throughout the development and implementation of business solutions
  • Builds consulting assets during a project and completes an end of project case study in order to share learning and experience.
  • Ensures effective client and senior management engagement during an assignment and identifies any issues and potential solutions that arise, escalating these as appropriate.
  • Drive the development of the Operational Excellence tools and methods and champion a culture of operational excellence
  • Continually promote a culture of Continuous Improvement encouraging the application of the appropriate tools & methods with the aim of improving Quality and driving operational and financial performance
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven investigative and analytical skills using a variety of Lean or Six Sigma techniques or similar
  • Significant experience identifying and developing business benefit cases for large business change projects
  • Ability to produce actionable insights from requirements elicitation, scoping and data analysis (including financial and numerical modelling and appraisal skills)
  • Strong workshop facilitation and interview skills, including negotiation, influencing, mediation and conflict management skills
  • Excellent Process re-engineering skills
  • Good interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
  • Degree level education or equivalent, typically in Business, Information Technology or Engineering.
  • Strong business acumen, with industry experience in complex business environments (Utilities, Water, Energy, Retail) and associated functions (Billing, CRM, Pricing, Credit, Business Systems)
The role is hybrid, with travel expectation c2 days per week (East Midlands).Outside of IR35
