Job Description

To assist the IT Lead Technician with general IT duties and to provide practical IT assistance. To be a point of contact within the business for technical issues, supporting and maintaining the company’s IT systems and provide efficient support to all businessusers. Resolve any IT-related faults quickly and efficiently, which will include a broad range of queries from how to set up an email account to more in depth fault diagnosis, plus enhancing and developing the use of IT within the business. The position involvestaking on a broad range of IT-related projects and activities. This post requires working in a fast-paced environment, managing several tasks at once and will work closely with our own internal staff, customers & suppliers.Main Duties:

  • Diagnosing and resolving of technical issues
  • Undertaking of IT projects as and when required by the business
  • Providing PC and server and printer support, both locally and remote
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
  • Ensuring security by keeping software up to date
  • Renew faulty and end of life hardware/software
  • General network maintenance
  • Recording of IT asset information
  • Maintaining stock of essential IT equipment
  • Setting up/Disabling user accounts
  • Office 365 management (OneDrive, SharePoint, Emails, Licensing)
Essential knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of desktop and laptop and computer hardware, peripherals and multi- function printers.
  • Technical Diagnosis skills
  • Use of Windows server platform (Including Active directory and RDP/Terminal Services)
  • Office 365 admin center knowledge
  • Other Office 365 skills, including SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Understanding of network communications including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN’s routers & switches
  • In depth knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with a variety of 3rd party applications
  • Full UK Driving License
