Job Description

Our client, a bespoke Joinery business based in Norfolk, just outside Norwich, are seeking a Draughtsman to join them due to continued growth. The Draughtsman will be working on a range of Joinery projects focusing on bespoke and high-end works and willbe expected to support the design phase of a project and to engineer work which is fit for manufacture, assembly and installation. This position is office based with the Draughtsman needing good Joinery / furniture drawing skills, with a flare for design andproject management. The Draughtsman will have chance to work on some amazing projects delivering an exceptional end-product to clients.Draughtsman Position Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £25k - £45k DOE (possibly more for a strong candidate)
  • Holiday: 20 days plus BH, increasing with length of service
  • Pension scheme
  • 40-hour week (Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm)
  • Location: North Norfolk or Norwich Office (office based)

Draughtsman Position Overview
  • Receive briefs from clients in the form of drawings, reference images, descriptions
  • Successfully translate briefs into joinery CAD models and present in 2D
  • Using Solidworks / AutoCAD
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure correct solutions are specified
  • Liaise with clients to determine material choices, providing samples when required
  • Keep the workshop team informed as designs progress, absorb their input, ensuring joinery can be efficiently constructed and installed
Draughtsman Position Requirements
  • Min 2 years design experience ideally within the furniture sector.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks / AutoCAD
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills as preparation of detailed technical drawings are essential to the role.
  • Based fairly local to North Norfolk
  • Driving licence
  • IT literate
