We have an opportunity for a journalist to join our commercial content team. The successful applicant will be able to write and produce inspiring content to light up our Norfolk and Suffolknewspaper pages and websites.The role is part time, offering 22.5 hours per week, which can either be worked over 3 days or spread over the week, and with a mixture of home and in our offices in Norwich.This busy team write on a broad range of topics that include everything from motoring, education andwellbeing, to tourism, business to business and food and drink. The content is mostly client-led, so you will need to have excellent commercial acumen andclient-facing communication skills.To create content for our clients you will need to be a confident interviewer who enjoys drawing out interesting facts and stories, whether on video calls or over the phone.The projects and topics you produce often need a quick reactive turnaround, so you will need to enjoy working in a pressurised, deadline-focussed environment.Our ideal candidate will also be someone who can generate new ideas, work well with ourcommercial teams and yet be assertive and tenacious enough to achieve interesting content that our readers will enjoy.YOU WILL HAVE: Strong writing skills/experience Good commercial awareness NCTJ or equivalent Digital / SEO knowledge Ability to produce new ideas Client-facing experience Great team working skills Ability to work to multiple deadlinesAbility to work on own initiativeSALARY AND BENEFITS *pro rata for part time
