The business has experienced growth throughout the year with last month beingtheir highest ever confirmed sales performance within any previous single month. This is an extremely exciting time to be joining the business as they make new inroads to areas and markets new to the business. As an Assistant Accountant you will play a pivotalrole is supporting the current FC and will assist with month end management accounts. You will also be responsible for the oversight of both purchase and sales ledger functions and will be involved in the day-to-day duties these roles require.My client has also confirmed that study is an option.Key responsibilities Assistant Accountant:Assist with preparation of Monthly Management AccountsSupport the preparation of VAT Returns.Supervision of the accounts payable, processing invoices onto the AP systemReconcile supplier invoices with their statements.Maintain statements and deal with supplier payment queries via email in a timely mannerWeekly Debtors and Creditors Meeting supplying insight to cashflowSetting up BACS and international payments to suppliers on timeDaily/Monthly bank reconciliations and corporate credit card reconciliationsAnalyse the data and maintain the accuracy of the financial information.Other duties as may be requiredYou will be AAT qualified or studying towards. You will be a high-level user of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel. This role is one that is varied and busy so you will need to be able to prioritise workloads and work both individually and as part ofa team. You will be outgoing and confident with the ability to demonstrate your finance skill set and will be able to help guide change and development in the team alongside the Finance controller.
