Job Description

TheForces Information Management Unit are responsible for a range of critical processes and programmes which ensures that the information and systems are secure and that all statutory and legislative requirements are met.Role:This is an opportunity to join the Data Protection and Disclosure Team based at Bedlington, as a Support Services Administrator specifically within the Family Proceedings. The Family Proceedings team is responsible for providing local authority and privatesolicitors with relevant and timely information to assist family courts and ensure the force meets its obligations. You will be working with internal and external customers to provide guidance and ensure an excellent service is delivered.As a member of the Family Proceedings Team, you will be completing a range of functions which are predominantly computer based. You will have access to a variety of local systems to enable you to update and interrogate information, respond to enquiries andprovide information to colleagues and partner agencies in compliance with force policy and legislationWhat will I be doing First point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including MASH and FIB and family/county courts and, childrens services, local authority and private solicitors, CAFCASS and members of the public.Carrying out quality assurance of formal applications, circulate documentation to relevant authorities, to ensure force obligations in respect of all aspects of family proceedings.Maintain efficient and effective filing systems, ensuring that documents are stored in a logical manner and easily retrieved when required.Respond to requests from key stakeholders ensuring that requests are complete and that the relevant documentation in included. Update the internal recording system ensuring the request is closed.Provide administrative resilience to the department including Undertake other clerical duties within the IMU in order to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department Role Profile and Person Specification Manage internal and externalmail, stationery and equipment requests and exchequer duties (processing payments) for requests and assisting with payment queries.
