Job Description

Quality EngineerSalary: £37,000My client based in Cramlington are looking for a Quality Engineer to join the business. This is a permanent position to work for a very successful business with fantastic opportunities and benefits for the right candidate.Job Spec

  • Performs system and process audits internally to TS-16949 standard
  • Help manage and maintain the QMS
  • Maintaining customer and engineering standards
  • Defines quality planning of products and conducts inspection and approval.
  • Help to develops the manufacturing process
  • Assists plant management in tracking process performance.
  • Follow quality control objectives as per Automotive Quality Standards. All relevant Procedures must be followed to ensure Customer Satisfaction and achievement of plant objectives.
  • Monitors/drive the cost of poor quality through managing and maintaining the scrap reduction.
  • Carry out 8D investigations / problem-solving
About You
  • Will ideally have 3 years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Must have knowledge of automotive industry standards ISO9001 & IATF16949.
  • Must have knowledge of the following quality standards/methods: FMEA, 8D and PPAP.
  • Will ideally have knowledge of VDA 6.3 standard
  • Must have excellent English language skills and be computer literate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and flexible in their approach to everyday work requirements.
  • Be able to travel to customers and suppliers,
